布什任命温斯坦为总统国土安全和反恐顾问

新华网华盛顿3月19日电（记者杨晴川 王薇）美国总统布什19日任命司法部负责反恐事务的助理部长肯·温斯坦为总统国土安全和反恐顾问，接替去年11月辞职的弗朗西丝·汤森。

布什在一份声明中说，在新的工作岗位上，温斯坦将负责协调美国的国土安全事务，包括反恐、边境安全和应急准备等。

温斯坦从事司法工作20多年，担任过联邦调查局首席法律顾问和首都华盛顿的联邦检察官。

美国总统的国土安全和反恐顾问的职责是领导白宫国土安全委员会，并就国土安全和反恐政策向总统提供建议。
